What is a perineal massage and how do you do it?

I asked a question yesterday about an episiotomy and got a few answers about a perineal massage, what is it? How do you do it?

Perineal massage is massaging the area between the vaginal opening and anus, to reduce the chances of tearing or having an episiotomy.

Put some lubricant or olive oil on ur thumbs and massage the inside of the vaginal opening, pressing down on the **** area while u do it.

If u need more details, ask ur OB.
