That depends on the state you live in, and also the city you live in. If you live in say…Philadelphia you need 0 hours of training to advertise as a massage therapists because there are not city or state laws. Ditto for many places in California. In San Francisco, a mere 100 hours and an easy test gets you licensed.

Certified - must be over 500 hours of training
