How long should I get a massage at a spa for?

olsf19 asked:

I know that probably sounds like a silly question, but I’ve never had a massage professionally done. Is it worth it to get the full hour? I don’t know if I’d be able to stay down for that long, but then again when I think about it, it’s probably amazing. So I’m asking those experienced spa goers out there if I should get the full or half an hour deal. Again, that probably does seem like a ridiculous question, but still, I would appreciate your feedback.

It depends on your needs. If you have sore muscles, and hour isn’t enough to give it adequate attention. 90 minutes would be needed. But being your first massage, you will want to use 60 min and you can build for that. Doing plenty of exercises, I have always enjoyed the muscles being relaxed in my back and legs and arms. Those areas alone take over 60 min. When I have done 90 min, I get a complete relaxation and the therapist isn’t rushed to get as much done as possible. When she finds a knot in between my shoulders, she can use the proven techniques she has learned to remove the knot and not cause much discomfort.

Good luck and enjoy

Yes an hour can be a great deal for a massage at the spa. Spa can be very great to relax your whole body from the stressful world.
